Need some help. Time consuming...

I have read the how-to's on installing a system and still dont get it. Flame me if you must. I have ZERO knowledge in installing audio components. Is there anyone one here that can take the time to help me out by giving me a step by step? I have a 2 sub 10" box, Aftermarket CD player and Amp. I need to know how to put it all together and make it work. And before anyone suggest professional install, that s**t is $300. Rather just save the cash and learn something new. If anyone can help, PLEASE PM me..

You said it yourself, you have no idea what your doing, whats worse: paying someone a few hundred bucks, or doing 500 worth of damage, and possibly frying all your stuff? From what you've posted I would take it to a shop, 300 is a pretty high price for a HU, sub, amp install, i wouldnt see it being more than 150-200, OR getting a friend who knows how to help you.

For a real step by step, i need more information, what componets do you have, at least the brand/model numbers of the sub/amp.
