need some help with a eg hatch!!!

Ok I bought a 1995 civic hatch 5speed on the feb 14th for 2400 dollars.When i bought the car guy told me the car has got a bad problem with breaking throttle body cables.Its broke three in the last year .The car has a jdm B18c dohc vtec with a skunk2 intake manifold, a blox 70mm throttle body,aem fuel rail,aem fuel pressure regulator,and a aem fuel filter,The transmission is a lsd 5 speed with a stage 2 racing clutch in it.Okay well me and my wife has been driving it fine since we had it.We went out tonight and actuallly really got on it for the first time got when we shifted into third the cable broke.Im wanting to know if there's a better cable i can put on it or should try adjusting it some or even leave some slack in it thanks and any info will help i've never really delt with anything in this area.......

Ive never heard of breaking throttle cables. But unfortunately im no help here.

Never heard of one breaking either, not that many times. Show us a pic of how it is set up

Where is the cable breaking?

It seems clear that you are buying throttle cables that are too short for your set up, so that's where to start. When you have a throttle cable of the proper length, it should be adjusted to have ~1/2" slack in it at the throttle body.

im running the stock throttle cable for it off a 1.5l let me see if i can figer out how to put a pic up lol

if your running the stock one its the wrong one. i believe you need the one off the b16 for an eg. is it fraying or is it a clean cut?
