Im currently running a ls/vtec setup in my 93 eg ...
-gsr head
-b18a bottom end (stock internals)
-gsr ecu

*** Overall stock as can be except for a blox intake manifold, and mishimoto radiator.***

*Note: Before i begin i went to start by saying ive been looking into this for a while and have been doing my homework but im hoping i can get some input and straight answers here. Im not looking to go all out with a fully built motor and boosting it with a 16g or gt35 turbo and running 15 psi, im just looking to run a t3/t4 turbo on 7-8 psi on a stock internal motor. (It is my daily driver). I know most of the basic parts ill need, but i dont know for what im looking to do what parts are a must and what i can do without except for the obvious ones, (turbo, manifold, oil lines, fmic, etc).

**I checked out the post your turbo setup sticky at the top of the page to get a idea of parts but it didnt help me to much considering everyone has a different budget and different hp/tq goal.

***My goal is 230hp/200wtq***
***My budget is $1,000-$1,250***

**If i can get some helpful input and guidance in the right direction it would be much appreciated**

---Thanks alot to all that can help me...

Check out this guide:

I gotta say, your budget seems unusually small, a tune alone will cost you half of that if you're lucky.

When you're trying to go boost, getting quality parts as well as good tune is very important, it's very hard if not impossible to work with that budget and build something reliable. I mean you would have to get mostly everything used, and that's a shot in the dark...
My suggestion would be for you to save up another $1,000 or so at least.

If you're interested in a good deal on CP pistons (9:1 compression ratio) PM me.

I would doefinaty do pistons, rods, bearings, and arp studs.

You can get away with a stock head. Just be sure to get car dyno tuned

if you already have a turbo and manifold and are looking to spend another $1,000-$1,250 yet i say pick up a walbro fuel pump (i have one i'd sell you for cheap), search local junk yards for a side mount intercooler and pipes from an eclipse, you'll need downpipe, ad a good tune on something like neptune or crome

Put about $500 aside for tuning. Buy some parts on eBay. Since you already have a nice turbo and manifold I'm guessing. You can buy all your parts on eBay. Wastegate, fmic/piping. Injectors, and resistor box if needed. Don't forget you'll have to get a downpipe and dumptube made to fit as well

I would also look into a new fuel pump & timing belt.

That's a very feasible goal and should be fine on the stock block. I make more than that with my LS on stock block.

Good luck!
