Well I cant go anymore without a system in this car so I need some quick suggestions for some front component speakers. Im no audio guru but i have a lil idea of what good and whats a pos. I wanna order these by tonight the latest i cant take it anymore !!! p.s looking for something that comes with tweeters.
My set up now

JVC headunit
Kicker solobaric 10" L7, 600 rms,1200 max
Kicker 600x1 mono amp 600 rms, 1200 max
Alpine type S 6x9 rear speakers, 50 rms,250 max (on their way arriving monday)

I will probably be buying them from Ebay, so if u find a decent auction send me the link.
I was looking along the lines of Alpine, Phoenix Gold, RF, Infinity.....

quick question : what is a crossover for? ( i think i know). Do i need one?

oh trust me i know that, i just go there to compare s**t, but i made my choice and i went with some
phoenix gold components, i know they make decent stuff plus 70w rms is pretty good ,and at 65 bucks w/ everything including a 1 yr warranty thru the seller i think i should be ok

What you listed sounds fine...... =)

I would stick with factory sized speakers, going smaller you are only cheating yourself....

A crossover prevents frequencies from getting where they shouldnt go. For example, you dont want your subwoofer getting High frequencies, A crossover prevents that. and you REALLY dont want your tweets getting low frequencies....

for subs, get a crossover with a high slope (18-24db/octave). All that means is that for every octave above its cutoff frequency, say 80Hz it defeats that frequency 24dbs.

Or in other words, the higher the slope, the less sounds you will hear above that frequency.... Now, if you have shitty speakers, you may not want a high slope as you will LOSE those frequencies before your next speaker can pick them up.

but the speakers you listed will handle a high slope just fine... I would Xover your sub at 70Hz. That will give a nice blend between the sub and the 6X9 kickers..... =)
