Hi,im new to this site,ive just bought a jap import 1996 fifth generation honda civic 1.5 automatic,i want to replace the gearbox,just wondering does all the 1.5 automatic gearbox is the same or not coz in my civic ive got a small switch next to the gearbox lever with S & E mode & ive seen some other uk spec 1.5 honda civic & they havnt got that switch,can u kindly advice me regarding this.thanks
to the site......Are you referring to the to the shift lock solenoid next to the gear selector, or something to do with the steering gearbox?? Also, the 96 civic, is part of the sixth generation family...
