i wouldnt touch it untill i had a job, and i wasnt 17.

your going to wreck that, and then your going to have dumped all your money into a car you no longer have.

if you really want to build, save all your money. do regular maintenance, keep up opn it, and in a year or two when you have a steady job and a good cash flow and good financial backing, and a solid driving record, then look into doing crazy stuff to it.

no reason to get rid of 35+ MPG car.

and if your thinking, "man f**k that, thats stupid. i have the car now, why not do stuff to it.? f**k him", heres a little something.

I had a dodge stratus R/T for about 3 weeks and totaled it when i was 15 years old and 9 months. (Moved to VA from MD and f**ked my paperwork up, so i was 15 with a full license  )

i managed to work my ass off and get my first civic. i didnt touch it for about a year. i had TWO jobs and still did nothing. i got it in 06 and sold it in 08. i had a year to play with it. by then i had enough money to get myself something really nice. an 03 Si.

so there. thats a tip.

dont piss in the wind
dont take any wooden nickles

^^ two more

If you wanna put money in it when you have it, do an ls swap(b18b,b20)Because those engines aren't really THAT expensive. Dont worry about a 99-00 conversion.Just do a DIY black housing headlights.

Dude once you get a job and save money, you can do whatever you want to make it look/feel good.

One cheap thing to do would be to get 99-00 tail lights. Their red on top and white/clear on the bottom.

Well you might want to get a job, but do just tune up and DIY, somethign cheap.

But to whom that says your young your going to crash, not true, not all young drivers are bad at driving.

When I got my car at 15, I smashed it, beat it, whatever you call it. I drove careful. there is many people who do crash like the guy with his SRT, but don't assume he is going to crash it.

So far so good for being 17. Like everyone else said, spend your money on something else since you don't have a steady job yet. Get a club and a descent alarm before doing buy another further car parts.

Paint match the lips and go job hunting, appearance is very important. Can't be showing up to job interviews with unpainted parts.

Your drums look so tight with that paint. Where did you get them done at?

I like it how it is, Only suggestion i have is getting rid of the "civic" and "ex" on the trunk and replace the gold honda badge with a red one and do a simple DIY for your grill and maybe some fog lights and call it a day

The most intelligent thing you could do is just keep it running smoothly. Get yourself a good paying job, save a good bit of money then think about doing stuff. To get and keep a good job you gotta have reliable transportation. When you start tweaking your motor-reliability starts to go down...get yourself set first..a cool fun car is nice, but there is a lot more in life than a nice car, and you have nothing without being able to self sustain.
