my goal is about 400 whp
my setup
b18c1 block(stock sleeves)
ls crank
81.5mm CP 9.8:1 comp
Scat rods
arp main bolts
arp head studs

i am looking to make roughly 400 whp
i am looking at either the t3/t4 60 trim .63AR or the SC61?

what kind of lag time will i be looking at with the sc61 i already had a 60 trim but broke it.

thanks for any info you can supply

go with the t3/t4 .63 trim. i think its rated for 450whp? it will have less lag than the sc61

they will both be laggy as hell. i think you are going to have to build back boost every time you shift gears.

With 3inch DP/Exhaust the SC61 should make full boost at about 5k. If you're using the GSR trans as well I wouldn't worry about building boost after shifts, gearing is tight won't fall back that far.

we typically use 57 trims for 400whp goals, the powerband is good and can definately meet your power goals. If you can afford it a better choice would be a gt3076r, it spools faster and can meet your power goal and a lower boost level.

go with a ball bearing turbo as well. this will cut down lag due to the less resistance on turning over.

but there is a llittle difference between the $525 t3/t4 60 trim, the $685 sc61 and a $1200 BB turbo likt the GT30R's

400hp with stock sleeves, hope you have a spare block
mines going to 450whp, and i dont have a spare block. do some research of your own and you will find with proper tuning and minimal detonation, it will be fine. its been proved on b series over and over again.

Yes there is a price difference, but you cant spend that money anywhere else to get the gains of the Garrett GT series turbos.

like i said the 57 trim .63 a/r, or if you can afford it, a gt3076r would be ideal.
