New 96 Lx Upgrade suggestions

hey guys, so i recently purchased my first civic. Its a sedan and is the cypress green pearl color. i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for what my accessory color should be ( like under the hood stuff). the rims are already black but ive been noticing that not everything should be black because it makes it look kinda dull in my opinion. i am also looking for suggestions for general upgrades and what not. thanks for any input.

Clean it thoroughly and tune it up as a start. And make sure all problems are fixed
Wd40 cleaned my engine bay well, then vacuum and steam clean interior

Integra shifter (if your civic is manual) is an awesome mod, and a weighted shift knob too.
Cheap ebay or homemade intake piping, but a k&n filter is good
Save money for engine, suspension or exhaust upgrades if you cheap those out you're just gonna make your civic worst than stock. Good luck!

thank you for your suggestions. yes its a 5 speed. and what does a weighted shift knob do/help?

Helps a bit with shifting, makes it noticeably easier.
