Well, I got sick of that Sparco shift knob always coming undone so I stuck an old shift knob I've had forever on there. I got some new valve stem caps at a local hotrod show a couple weeks ago too. They weren't really intended for the civic but, ended up there.
Oh, and this is the new beast. Don't look like much rite now but, neither did my 53 when we got her. There's already a 302 in there now but, there might be a small block chevy put in its place... I'm just more familiar with the chevy engines. It's getting a full air bag suspension also. Well, you'll see what happens to her as time passes..... 8)

*ignore the rusty rotors... the car hasn't been driven in over a month. 8)

Too many fitment issues. And, I'm going to be driving it on a regular basis... that adds cooling issues and the cost of gas would be rediculous.

I'd love to go flathead... that'd be my first pic if this were gonna be garage or trailer queen but, it's gonna be driven. So... good ole sbc. 8)

The civic was more for something reliable to drive... i just couldn't stand to leave it stock, it was never intended to go as far as it did. I've always had that problem....

Yeah, its resin some of the better ones really come close to the look and feel. Mine was originally only intended as a decoration for my office but, that damned sparco sucked over time.

best idea ive heard all day
it is a good idea in theory but, the chops on these cars look a lot better on the 2 door coupes they've got a lot shorter rear section and need the chop to look normal. I've got a 2 door sedan.. they look kinda funny with a chopped top. And I would have went ahead and did it but, the top in this car is so solid and has absolutely no problems in it. So it'd be a shame to cut it up. That may be something that my son will do to the car once he has it. 8)
