Just recently finished my boxes and installed a crossover. Going from sealed to ported makes a huge difference in SPL, I enjoyed the SQ and tight punches of the sealed, but the decibal level makes up for it. Getting the 9853 installed today also. Hope you like the setup.

Didn't Alpine change the motorization parts for the 05 models? My installer showed one to me and it was super smooth.

Cool, I appreciate the tip, I'll baby it. It looks too good not to baby it. Its always sweet how the unit looks 10 times better in person than on a computer screen.

Thanks. It's more precise to the parameters of the sub. Also If one of the subs were to go out, I can remove the box and replace the sub without having to mess with the other sub. I did have specs for a dual ported box but it would have required me to put the speaker terminals on the top of the box since the ports are the side opposed to the ports being on the bottom with the single boxes. It would have been easier to build the dual box, I just opted for the seperates.
