New buyer, wanting a Civic Si

Hi everyone,

I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Hopkins in Baltimore looking to purchase my first vehicle. Kind of sad that I'm a mechanical engineer and don't know as much about cars as I should...
I am currently in the market for a 2007 or 2009 Civic Coupe Si. The current 3 I am considering are:

1. 2007 with 53k miles, but with quite a nice carfax (routine oil changes, chassis lubrication, as well as being routinely serviced) and no accidents. Offered for $17.9k.

2. 2007 with 31k miles, but its carfax does not display much upkeep. Emissions inspections and no reported oil changes or significant upkeep. Listed as a fleet vehicle and sold at an auction. $17.8k.

3. 2009 with 18.2k miles. Carfax shows recommended maintenance performed and 2x oil and filter changes with chassis lubricated. Looks good, but #1's got the best carfax info. $20.9k

I like #3 because mileage is low and upkeep seems reasonable. The price is the only downer.
#1 is nice because of the carfax and the low asking price.
#2 is OK in that it has low mileage, but too bad it doesn't "seem" like it's been taken care of very much.

As I said, I don't know much about cars or their upkeep, but I hear that you can't really go wrong with a Honda Civic Si. Turbocharge will be on my TO DO list for later =)

Any advice you guys can give me on what to look out for when I go to the dealership or about the car itself, I'd greatly appreciate.

Thanks for any help in advance and sorry for the long post
