IMO, I just like turbo more than sc. The sound of that spooling turbo as your foot hits the floor and that ball of fire exiting the exhaust everytime you let off the gas just brings a sickening smerk to my face.

The supercharger's claim to fame is being able to deliver the goods almost instantaneously; but I'm to busy listening to the whine of the supercharger to think about "boost onset." *Gotta love that sound* You can't really go wrong any route you take.
Turbos are not less reliable than superchargers. If anything, they're more reliable. I've seen a number of cars out there running turbos with over 100k on them (we're talking stock turbo car to stock sc'ed car) while the supercharger is suffering from sealing, belt and cooling issues. If well maintained and properly kept, turbos can go forever (well, almost). Turbos def. do need to be better taken care of, however, whereas the supercharger, you don't have to worry about cool-down and frequent oil changes. I believe the biggest problem that gives turbos a bad rap is their simplicity to turn up the boost. Boost is good so more must be better...until something breaks. Then the end-user gets angry 'cause they think the turbo 'caused the problem.
The moral of the story? The moral of the story is "SHUT UP AND DRIVE!!!"

If anything, when done correctly, sc or turbo, you can have a champ, but when the shortcuts are taken you'll have a poor running beast. The turbo raises your chances of doing something wrong, but you know what, those are the things you gotta get ready for if you're livin' life in the fast lane. Peace and more power to you all!
