all right folks, I just picked up a "pull me over" red 92 Honda DX coupe. 60K on the odometer; clean inside and out. I've been shopping around for some mods, but I don't know my a-hole from my belly button :smackself been checking out some of the threads and obviously, the altezza lights are out of style. so what about exhaust...? is there a relatively conservative muffler out there? (let's be reasonable, I've got a D15B7 under the hood so there's nothing to brag about.) Next on my list was a set of new wheels. I know steelies are the next cool thing, but I have no earthly idea where to start and I sure as hell don't want to drop a ton of jack on some rims. Also, coil overs, shocks, breaks etc. All in all, I don't wan't a power car, but instead, a vehicle that can swing through the corners like a hooker on a brass pole. Finally, the wonderful tach question... where should I buy a new instrument cluster and will any cluster from the 5th gen work? or should I stick with LX because of the motor? Well, thanks folks and hope to be posting more soon.

lol yea...if u want looks first, get sum new wheels and maybe a lip kit or sumthin. IF you want power, save the money on the little stuff, and buy a swap. B18C1....B18C5....B16A2 seem to be good engines IMO

to answer your question, there are lots of decent exhausts out there, easiest way to pick one is to go out there and try to listen to em. ask 100 people their favorite exhaust, you;ll probably get 100 different responses. the cluster out of an ex/si 5th gen will plug right in. if you want best cornering, forget the exhuast, and check out the group buy on suspension. get the tein ss's, a good set of lightweight wheels and tires (15's), some energy suspension bushings and some anti roll bars. your car will now outhandle just about anything on the road. you will now also be able to drop in any new powerplant and not worry about a sagging suspension or anything like that.

All right folks, thanks for the help... I'm lookin into the suspension setup right now. Like I said, I don't want to drop serious dough on this becuase... well, I'm a poor ass college student with a minimum wage job, (oh yeah, and those fu!@#%* things called bills) And the reason I asked about exhaust is that I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. Yes, thats right ladies and gentlemen: B.F.E., not a metropolitan area where you would find car clubs with a plethora of tuned japs.
As for the engine swap, forget it. This engine has only 60K and runs like a champ... ok, a very wimpy champ, but none the less, it runs. And headers are also probably out of the question. I'm still debating on how far to go with the intake thing. So basically, what I'm getting to, is what are the brand names do you all trust. And what kind of cash should I look into dropping for the projects I'm considering. Well, time for me to make like a fetus and head out. Thanks for the responses fellas.
