Hi Folks,

Just picked up my first Civic and loving it. Traded in a Honda Rigeline (loved it too), for better gas mileage. My fist 'car' and the most interesting 'observation' is that sitting this low to the ground it appears that other drivers don't necessarily see you...and I have to manage my energy a bit better since I don't have a V6 to get me in and out of trouble quickly. Still I've been very impressed with my new 2012 EX-L. Getting nearly 52 on the highway first tank...hard for me to believe so I'll be watching the specs closely.

Just minor things so far. I had the interior treated; leather protection, dash and carpets. Window tinting will be done on Friday this week. The rims that came with the car are rather nice so no need to do anything there...at least for a while. 16" rims, like the 17"s so perhaps a set when I need tires. I'd like to see about a KM filter to get a bit more HP out of it, but likely at the cost of mileage.

Sounds like a plan, and I'm oretty sure hat just a K&N drop in filter won't lose you gas mileage,in fact I'd assume it would be a bit better with your car breathing easier but don't quote me on that.

k and n filter or a entire intake system sri or cold air will actually increase hp and mpg it isnt going to be much help in the mpg deparment, but it will a little and it defintly wont hurt the mpg.

Here's the '12 after the window tinting applied. Makes a big different (IMO) on the interior temperature and just plain comfort.
