Hello all...
I haven't had a non-American car since my Mazda 626 I got in 1980 as a high school graduation present. After two Ford Taurus vehicles, I decided this time to look at the Honda. I did a lot of online research and with the current promotion of the Civic, the great prices, I went to look at one.
I was very impressed. The 2013 Civic is great looking, has great features, and is very fun to drive. I first looked at the EX, but at 6'3" the sunroof ate into the headroom too much for my liking. I talked to my dealer, telling him what I really wanted was a leather interior, but I did not really care about the features of the upper end trim. So we settled on a Civic LX, with the dealership replacing the cloth seat covers and door fabric with leather trim.
I'm very satisfied with the car. I love it more every day. It is more fun than the Accord - I looked at an Accord Sport, very attractive, and just a few thousand more than the Civic, but the front seats were not as comfortable and while it is clearly a great car, it did not have the "fun" factor of the Civic.
The staff at the dealership was top-notch. There was no flowering up of the deal or any funny business. Very straight-forward. I would recommend the Civic and Honda in general to everyone!
