i would say 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches you dont need any bigger unless its gonna be turbo eventually.

ok well if you can handle a small loss in back pressure get 3 inch piping and make sure your muffler has a large opening where they will be welding it otherwise it is pointless.
If your for a big turbo 15psi or more go with 3" exhaust better in long run.
i'll probibly go with 2.5
