new grille in, looks odd?

hey guys i got my new type r style grille. It seems to fit nice and plush with the hood but on comparison to the grilles on the member rides it seems to expose more mesh than other grilles. I dont know it just looks sort of odd
what do u guys think ?

Did you paint the mesh blue as well? If so, that's why. Looks blue to me; the mesh should be black.

Its because yours is a replica grill. The OEM Si grills have more contoured mesh where the fake ones are flat.

The real ek9 grille is made from 3 parts:

Trim/Shroud
Black base
Metal Wire mesh

haha thanks guys nah its black. the camera setting is messed up and ye its an ebay part. I think it looks odd cos the trim is not as shallow as the original. mabye if i paint the trim the same colour of the body (which is cypress green by the way lols).?

It looks good, You can try to paint the trim and see how it goes but otherwise i dont think it is such a huge difference.
