Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been looking at the site for a while now and thought I'd jump in and start participating a bit.
A bit about myself... I'm 34, I live in Western Michigan and have been modifying my rides before I could legally drive! I bought a 98 Civic ex four door 10 years ago as my daily driver for my family. I do all of my own work on my rides and have just started playing around with the Civic for the last year. I haven't done too much with it yet, but I'm finding myself working on it more and more, and with some of the things I've seen on the site, I'm wanting to do even more. I'm liking the JDM scene the more I look at it. Not one for the big body kits. I like the sleeper look. There isn't a real big import scene here, other then the tweens that are beating up moms car to and from the mall. I have had low rider mini's and lifted 4x4 trucks. My latest toy is a Suzuki Sidekick that is lifted 6 inches with 31" tires and a heavily modified engine and drive train for offroading.
My car so far, and is still my daily driver... Completely stock body, dents and all LOL... Just needs a little freshing up. Simple cold air intake. Header and exhaust "Cheap Ebay" needed a whole new system since the salt on the roads eats them up fast! Port and Polish. Did it when I blew the head gasket from a failing water pump. I figured I'd do it since I had the head off and fresh from the machine shop. "not the first head I've done." So far I'm impressed with what this little car will do with the few mods that I have done to it.
Small sound system. Pioneer premier head unit, Kenwood Parabolic Eq, Memphis 16-MC4.75 amp powering Kicker mids and highs, Memphis 16-MC1.500 amp powering a Memphis 15-C312D2 sub. It's only been miked out at 138.8 dbs. It also is a work in progress.
So, I'm looking forward to reading about your guys rides, and bouncing ideas off of you for my ride.
