Hey everyone,

I'm new to the site, and to civic ownership. I've wanted one for a while, but could never find a even half decent one, or one without EVERYTHING wrong with it.

Last week, with the help of a civic head friend of mine, I stumbled upon a 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe with 133k on the ODO. I was a little put off by the car because it is 1. Automatic (Hate autos, unless its in my other car.) 2. Has some damage to the Right side of the bumper, and small dents on the right side as well. After my friend looked it over, he decided that $3000 was too much for the car, and we got it down to 2k. I still was apprehensive about it, because of it being auto, but my friend reminded me that his "play with" civic is automatic as well. So, in the end, after having EVERYONE looking it over, I decided to purchase it, plus I needed something to offset the gas prices of owning a big SUV.

It does have some issues between 1st and 2nd gear, but I can fix all of that eventually.

But, I figured I'd find a site of people that enjoy civics as well.

Anyways,

My names Matt.

And please ignore my previous rant lol.

As soon as I am not at work sure. I might try from my phone shortly to see if I can do it that way.

Like I said, it needs some slight body work. But I'm focusing on all the engine and tranny work first. Start from the inside - out. Maybe do a swap eventually. I bought it with plans in mind, but with it being Auto, it kinda took some of the fun out :(

I was kinda worried, even with my knowledge of cars, that it might not have been worth 2k.
