Hey guys,

My name is John and I drive a 1993 Civic HB. I bought the car roughly 3 weeks ago and am loving every bit of it. The previous owner swapped in a b18b1 with unknown mileage. Unfortunately the previous owner did not do to good of a job maintaining the car. So far I have replaced the oil pan, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gasket. This is my first honda, my last car was a 1991 Talon TSI AWD. I will be painting it later on down the road since its in primer. I had to order the corner lights 'cause the previous owner took them off for some reason. I have been reading quite a bit lately but did not feel like posting anything until introducing myself. The future of the b18 is uncertain for now as I am pondering another engine swap. I am not familiar with honda engines and don't know if its worth working on the b18b1, or switching over to another engine. I will upload pictures tomorrow because I left my camera at work. Well, now off to research that engine swap. Any recommendations?

First off, Welcome! Always love seeing new people on here all the time now.
Second, More info on that 1991 talon tsi? My brother had one, so I know what they are like. Pics pleaseee!
Third, Idk much about the b18's, I just wanted to welcome you and know more about this tsi.

Welcome to the site. The LS (b18b1) motor is a great motor to add some boost to if you want some more power. Check out this local PA tuners site for some dyno sheets and setups. http://forums.evans-tuning.com/viewforum.php?f=38

Well the Talon was a never ending journey for me. I made decent power out of it but only had a chance to drive it for a couple of miles. Unfortunately I bent a couple of valves and threw a rod. That was what caused me to get rid of it.

Thanks I am considering going ls/vtec and adding boost here in the next few months. I will look over that link you gave me The selling point was not the power I could squeeze out of the engine, I just really liked the way it drove. It reminds me of driving a go-kart for some reason, but I would like for it to have a bit more kick to it.
