New Head for D15B

HI, im new to this whole forum thing and I have just a relatively simple question. I have a stock 95 civic coupe DX with a D15B engine and I plan to change the head for D16Z6, is it a good idea or bad?? or if its even possible.....any recommendations??

I got the same engine as yours and plan to do the same.but I'm not sure which one is the best swap for a D15B7 anybody have a DIY????
I also heard that any Dseries head can fit in a D series block is this true????

Just do a complete swap to a DOHC, screw that single stick s**t.

Yes, any D-series head can fit on a D-series block, as long as the head is SOHC, and the block that you are putting the head on had a SOHC D-series head. Only real problems i've heard from doing a mini-me is engine surging at idle.

He won't have that idle problem as long as he has the ecu with it, thats known in 4th gen with VTEC switchs. Ominous understand that not everyone has $2000+ to swap DOHC, so somepeople have to work with what they got. Its hard for some people to understand there are broke people in the world, I know I one of the broke people.

Besides, SOHC motors are lighter, parts cost less, and they can really make some mad power/torque.

i also have a d15 eninge in my dx.. and well im thinkin on gettin the d16z6 but i dont kno where to get them i check at sum of the respectable engine sites and there not there where can u get them??

I see all you DX guys are looking for a little VTEC...

Well I have a little hook up and i can get you a head and ECU For 145 Pluss Shipping or you can come pick it up from me.
