Ok, now im not sure if getting tweeters and which would you recomend.

Im still thinking of one os these two headunits, which would you recomend:

1. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-uWKpQcm5JxD/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=130DEHP480

2. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-uWKpQcm5JxD/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?I=113mp5028&search=kdcmp5028

Please with the headunits dont think about the proce, but whink about the quality, better product, and which one will last longer.

Thanks

Matt.

I'd go with the kenwood head unit. I had one in my old car. It was pretty awesome.

I've only had Kenwood. I only replace them b/c I want something newer. So Kenwood gets 2 :ok: from me.

The premeir version of headunits has more features such as AutoEQ and some other small tidbits that make sound even better, plus more configurations and crap. Really its worth it. XD

I have a kick ass Kenwood in my civic. In has all types of volume controls in the audio feature and it shows those animations and my buddy has always gotten Pioneer and those look cool too and alot of extras but its all you. But i like my kenwood and still no problem and its an 03 model radio

Well lets put it this way, your getting pioneer speakers? So why not make it complete Pioneer/Premier setup?
You don't need to match up any audio equipment. Go with what you like and sounds good. Every piece of my system is different.

thanks everyone.. since they are both great, and offer almost the same important things such as the rca outputs, the rms and the peak, the equaliziers.... i'm going with the chepeast one that is the kenwood.

thanks everyone.

IMO, if you have the funds there is no other way to go but with components up front. Of course they also need an amp.

If funds are short, a set of amped full range speakers work very well too. A powered sub is also a must have or really good amped 6 X 9's to compensate. If you run 4 full range speakers off the HU, you won't be getting the true sound quality you are looking for. It will def sound 1000X's better then stock, but you'll quickly grow out of it and want to expand.

I am fully amped with components, 6X9 and sub. My gf has an 04 Civic with a Kenwood HU (front full range and stock 6X9's running off it) and an amped sub. When I drive her car, there is way too much bass b/c the speakers aren't putting out enough.

So just decide what your true needs are out of your system and build accordingly.

my order...

1. new head unit
2. replacement of stock speakers with nice co-axials...
3. 4 channel amp (bridgeable)
4. subwoofer and box (put the rear two on deck power and the sub on the bridged channels)
5. tweeters or components up front

at some point replace all the speaker wire with a nice thick gauge wire...make sure and run atleast 8 gauge power wire for the amps first...and two sets of RCAs....i even run five extra 12 gauge wires...just in case i need one for something....
