i want a new headunit that comes with a jack for my ipod, but on my 98 ex the headunit has all the controls, and then theres a separate thing down by the cupholders for the CD player. How is this going to be effected when i install a new headunit that already has a CD player in it? is this going to make all the wiring difficult?

there is a double harness that you can get offline. It's not difficult at all, but why would you want to keep the stock radio? Anyways, it can be done. Also, if you want ipod usage, go Alpine, hands down. Best ipod interface by far.

a headunit just a radio man....plays AM/FM, CD's, stuff like that. When ever you go to Best Buy or something and see the car audio section with all the radio's on display, those are headunits. If you want to remove the stock radio you can put a new headunit in its place, but you will need a dash kit for it to fit properly.

What kind has the ipod jack in the back? My friends headunit has a jack in the back and he just leaves his ipod in the glove box and it charges. Then he can scroll through the ipod on the headunit.

some come w the aux cable, which youll need the 3.5mm cable? and some come w the output on the RCA wires, then youll need a "Y" adapter cable. 5 bucks for each. its well worth it. cd's suck and they skipp and can only hold so much.

alpine FTW

O.P - if your EX has keyless your going to have to retain your stock headunit somewhere unless you have an aftermarket alarm system. the factory alarm is built into the stock head unit so plan on relocating it if you want a new head unit
