New Headunit

Am I right in thinking that any single DIN unit will work with a install kit?

I'm looking at a Dual XHD7714 headunit, and a install kit off of eBay.

Anybody have a more reliable source for a install kit?

Walmart sells a pretty nice install kit for like $10-12. Ive done numerous head units and I always go through them or a local auto shop like autozone or advance auto. kit the install brackets and the adapter wire harness. you can always return it if you dont use it, even if its open.

^ agreed walmart dash install kit, adapter plug for honda so it can plug into factory harness and you may need an antena adapter/extender i know i needed the extender on mine made my life easier and only cost me 2 bucks

all you need is the adapter harness which you can buy at walmart. you dont need the antenna adapter or anything else

but isn't the pocket or clock on the right side of the radio held in with the dash kit?? there is a piece that comes out and folds over to make it look fit and finished.

If you are wondering about it looking fit I am thinking the faceplate of the radio will cover the metal unless you are thinkiing something else. But I also agree with what was said about wal-mart, usually the lowest prices with everything for wiring, fitting kits, ect..

The drim piece should cover it up, but the pocket is held there own its own. All i got was the headunit and used the trim piece thats on the cage i think

a single din head unit will fit nice with the cage and trim ring. you will need an install kit to and i would recommend a wire harness adapter, just makes things nice and easy. you should be able to get it all at walmart or best buy. i would do some searching on the site for install or check out install dr.

i used this on my headunit instill that i did this weekend helped out a lot.
also check this one out if your old head unit has the small green plug in it. the small green one has the dome light door switch circuit in it.
