So I found a really good d16y7 engine with only 90,000 kms and it's getting installed as we read. I'll have all the basic bolt on mods. Intake, exhaust, headers. What would be a good next purchase if I wanted a good running but quick civic? I don't want to turbo at all. What would you suggest, thanks.

new distributor,rotor,cap, nice wires (NGK), new spark plugs. <--good running
quick?--> not much you can do with a D series, you can build the block and head but that will be alot of money
EDIT: you can swap the head off your d16, for a d16y8 head...i forgot how much HP it will give you, its not that much but its better than what you have..

Yeah if you bought a d16y7 and want a quick car, you made a mistake. Especially if you don't want to go turbo.
