new help installing gauges

hey can anyone help me install these bad boys on my 2000 civic ex, i can do the wiring no problem, but the needles are so sensitive i dont know how to take them off to put my gauges in. Anyone out there done this before ??

You sure you need to remove the needles cuz I didnt? If the gauges are thin enough you can slightly bend them then slide em underneath the round part of the needle and they should fit nicely. Hope that helps a lil.

don't take the needles off, might have to get new gauge cluster =p just slide it in, bend the gauges little bit where it'll not leave a bent mark... really e/z and simple

but how would you bend it with the gas/coolant gauge. two needles. or is that when you need to bend it? just wondering.

Be very very careful! I broke mine when I did that side. What I think I should have done was move both of them almost up. Then slide them over. That way you have to do as little bending as possible. So that might help.

If they're gauge faces, you don't take the needles off.You have to slip the hole over the needles.

i tried to put the gas needle as close to where it was as possible. will it go back to normal when the car starts or when i fill my tank? thanks.
