New here, with questions

Hey so first off, I'm a ford guy but looking to get a civic to drive around for the winter here in the northeast.

what are some of the main problems I should look for when buying an older civic?
I do not know a lot about these cars but I am friends with "Aldundra" here and have worked on his car a couple times with him

no real problems to speak of. rust is the main issue they have. other than that just keep up with your maint. and it should last damn near forever

thanks man, yeah being from the northeast I'm expecting rust but I don't really car about surface rust as long as its not in any dangerous spots. I'm not buying a civic for looks.
