New issue. Has me, my dad, and friends scratching our heads.

So i have replaced my pads one time, and my left side ate the pads and the new rotor, so i went and replaced the rotor, pads and caliper. The problem occurred again only this time it got so hot it welded the cheap ass lug nut on the stud forcing us to take a cutting torch and cut off the stud. I BARELY USE THE BRAKES I USE DOWNSHIFTING TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP What i wanna know is why the caliper stuck again and why it wore out the left pads in a week, and why in less then a MONTH the right side is almost out.

We believe my booster is going out because the cylinder has been building pressure inside of it, when i remove the cap to fill the brake fluid it pops off instead of just being pulled off. We also think that my master cylinder is going out because its bogging the engine when I pump the brakes.

I dont know what it could be and im really tired of having to jack the car up and replace a set of pads a week. I will have to sell/trade this car if the issue continues as i dont have the money right now to be using a set of pads a week..... Please help...I love my car and dont want to sell or trade it. I am determined to NOT give up on this car....

i'd start with a booster... if the master was going bad you'd must likely have no brake pedal at all.. good luck i hope you can figure it out!!

Are both left side brakes dragging?

My guess would be a bad master cylinder and/or a clogged brake line.

i believe they are both dragging but only the front of the rotor was damaged by metal on metal contact

Again, the likely possibilities are a bad master cylinder or two clogged brake lines.

Good observation, im going to say the problem is in the master cylinder. This happend to me once, but it was ceased piston inside the caliber.

Engine is bogging because the booster uses vacuum created by the engine. It's normal and has nothing to do with the master.
