Hello Everyone!

Im fairly new to the forums. I have a 1992 Civic CX Hatch that replaced my 2003 Suzuki Aerio.

Overall im enjoying the civic more and love the parts availability.

I have only done a few small modifications to it yet, but i have plans.

Hopefully in the next year or two i will be able to make this a full time project car and not a daily project car. Anyways, I've attached some of the photos of my car below!

Love my neighborhood. Someone hit my car and drove off. Yay.....

And the old seats... Passenger side is in excellent condition...

Thanks!

Yeah, well it happens.

I got pretty lucky when i got the car from my wife. Almost all of the original parts, and in excellent working order.

Only have 175200 miles on the car.

Welcome to CC.

First purchases should be a vacuum and a steam cleaner. That interior is disgusting.

Yup. As she was a pack a day smoker, i plan on replacing the carpet as it is ripped in several places. Never the less, that's my plan for next weekend.

Has more to do than being a smoker. I was a pack a day smoker for over 17 years (quit 2 years ago and won't ever look back) and my car NEVER looked like that. I couldn't stand to be in something that nasty day in and day out. Baffles me that others can. Being in the auto industry for so long and seeing many disgusting trade ins, I am amazed at how bad some people treat their own property. Even worse, how they treat someone else's (eg: rentals/loaners).

Good luck with the clean up. :thumbs up

I want to, but i am unsure of any local shop in Saint Louis to do so.
Then begin doing a little thing called RESEARCH. Last I checked, upholstery shops dont go door-to-door looking for customers. This new invention called Google can help you find local upholstery shops. Visit a few and ask them for pictures of their work. Perhaps go to local car shows and ask people who did their custom projects.

Damn man. Just pull all that s**t out, throw that s**t in the trash haha.

Can get a drop in carpet, tons of eBay stores. Used seats you can find all over hell. Go to a UPullit and grab the door cards and roof liner. SO many cheap options. I'd pull every one of those interior panels and scrub them shits with some diluted bleach or simply green or something. Then scrub the shell underneath. Pop all the vents and buttons out of the dash that you can within reason and just scrub everything. It'll look a million times better and probably smell a lot better too.

Welcome to the site!

Last I recall there is a local site I joined many years ago and there were a handfull of shops. If you come up to Chicago, I know the best of the best and would be glad to share my contacts and connections for a fellow hatchie owner.

Craigslist STL always has a lot of used honda parts floating around.

Look in the DIY how to's section on the site for the best products and how to clean the interior.

Using the search button on here helps a lot. Don't be afraid to pull up an old thread and comment on it. Those whom are still active on the site can still give our opinion or advice on any subject matter.

Google doesn't solve all problems. Sometimes it's about personal experience. ;)
