New Owner

Hi figured I'd introduce myself and be the first to state that I am a huge hypocrite right now.
More on that in a moment. Anyways As you can tell by both the thread and my post count i'm a newbie to the forum.

I recently purchased a EK hatch for $400 needing only minor body parts(I need a passenger mirror and a dent removed) and new cv axles. It's the Granada black pearl, 172,000 miles 5spd. And thats where I bring back that I am a hypocrite.

I'm not the biggest of fans of Civics. You can blame this guy I used to work with who thought it'd be killer to run his civics til it exploded then blame the car. So because of him yeah. Anyways I bought the car out of need since I had to crush The Ugly Hatchling 1.0 which was a 1988 Honda Accord hatchback.

Annnyways...I don't have really big plans for the civic. Was thinking of just doing a full exhaust,suspension work and driving it til it falls apart....Maaybe do a Vtec head swap on the little bugger.

What year? Planning to drive it for a bit to see if you like it or there are any big problems before you put money into it?

I gotta appreciate the honesty, but dont be too hard on yourself. At least you're giving it a shot. Good luck to ya. My cousin hated Civics until I got mine because I did mine tastefully while the vast majority in Miami, FL are ridiculously riced out or ragged out. I couldnt blame him to an extent. You friend was just a fool.

FYI, this technically isnt an off-topic thread. It should be in the 6th gen section. Post some pictures of it while your at it.

What year? Planning to drive it for a bit to see if you like it or there are any big problems before you put money into it?

It's a 96. i meant to change EK out to EJ cause like others I didn't know that the EK was actually the japanese model while mine being a....Well it was put together in canada so would that made it a CADM? Or would it still be USDM?

Anyways.... I do like the car I mean for the little 1.6l it has it has enough pickup and go to keep me happy and give me decent gas mileage(Which is good considering my job)

I've just never been a big fan of Civics. My old Accord was a hatchback and the whole suspension of the car even with 20+ years still handled beautifully. I'm just not adjusted to how the civic handles is all.

Well this is technically my second civic. I have a 87 civic SI sitting in my backyard waiting on me to decide what to do with it. And I figured off-topic would be the best place to post since this doesn't really pertain to my civic as it does me as a member. But yeah I need to upload my photos to the comp.
