As you all know from my previous thread, I have started to paint my car. Well Friday night we got the bumpers and everything plastic painted. Saturday is here and we painted the car today. I havnt got it home yet but here are some pics of it still in the booth. After we get it home, we are going to buff it and it will look 10 times better. I really have to say thanks to my dad for putting so much time and effort in to making this a really good job. I did a lot of work myself but he is the real reason that I think it turned out great. I will definitely post more pics as we get it completely done and I hope you all enjoy. Here is some pics and the first picture is without clear just for your info.(and its a little blurry)

We have to sand it with 1200 paper first and then wet sand and block with 2000 paper. We then have to buff it with rubbing compound. you start out with a wool pad and then end with a foam pad. The buffer is a variable speed Makita and it looks like a grinder with a soft pad on it.

Today (Sunday) we went to the shop and removed all of the tape and paper. When I got it home, I snapped a few pictures.

Just a little update on the car...We have got most of the car buffed and heres about the only pic I have of the car that is buffed. We still need to finish the drivers fender and the whole passenger side as well as polish it but other than that, its almost ready to be back to normal.

Well today(Saturday) we got most of my car back together. We are going to put the lip on tomorrow and I am hopefully going to clean on it a bit. Here are some crappy night pics of it. Better ones later when it is completely finished. We also have to hand glaze it to get all of the swirl marks out. I gives thanks to my dad again for the hard work and it looks better than I ever imagined!!
