hey everyone, i ditched the idea of the red steelies with chrome lip, the main reason is because my parents would probably start yellin at me, lol.......well, i did paint two of the steelies, gunmetal with silver lip, it looks alright but i'm gonna redo the lip to a chrome lip, so it stands out more......o yea, and i'm about halfway done doing the interior, so some parts arent done in red yet......enjoy

Ummmm..... Why are you painting steelies... I can understand if you dont have the money, but if you dont have the money save it..... And Mugen00 is right.... The red doesnt match the interior IMO....

leave the steelies black, come on there just steelies. buy some falkens and drop it and it will look 10 times better. what are you doing with the red? not really feelin the red carpet either. other than that just keep it clean.

that carpet looks pretty bad man, just remove it.. the steelies, just black wouldve been fine.. and yeah removing the pin stirpes would make it look cleaner..

i love it, red carpets and door panels, but i'm not done yet like i said earlier, i'm gonna do all the bluish/gray interior parts black as well....guess no one likes it , o well.....

yea pinstripes are comin off too, its hard to do, even with a hair dryer, its like 30 degrees outside, and it seems as if i can't heat it up enough to peel it off easily, and picking at it with my finger nail just hurts.....

yea, i'm gettin a drop, i already have the springs, i just gotta install them

y everybody hatin on the steelies??? lol, imo, doesn't matter if its black or gunmetal with silver lip....like someone said earlier, "they're just steelies" and i think they look better the way i did them, than just plain old black....its different, and at the same time, don't look bad, better than the regular black, that aren't even black, more of a faded black, that won't ever get clean........

o well, hopefully you like my christmas mods, ctr front lip, skunk2 shift knob and type r shift boot

Its not that we dont like the ctr interior, its that we think you could have used the money better... Or atleast thats my take on it.....

Oh and the reason we are hating on the steelies is, well you said it best..... They're just steelies.....

well, if i was to add my 2 cents, and if it really mattered, just buy a replacement red carpet, i understand the work you did but honestly it already looks trashed. if your going to dye something, clean it first as in take the carpet all the way out, power wash it and let it dry, then dye it. at least make the time you are putting into it worth it in the end. And a world to the wise, less in more, don't have to dye everything.

Your hatch has potential but i think you need to focus on one thing at a time. You know? And about the steelies, they can only look but so good. I dont think ill ever hear anyone say "whoa! nice steelies" I dont think its worth the effort. At sport compact car you can buy an entire floor carpet in whatever color for like 130. They are custom fit too.
