new (p/s a/c)

hey im new from KY, figured there would be some useful things to learn from this forum, just got my car today and already fixed one problem. the brake lights wouldnt go off.(used the penny trick on the relay switch thingy)

paid $1800 for my 97 civic DX (5spd) with 195k on it. i was wondering if there is anything i need to know about re installing the power steering. it and the A/C had been deleted at some point in the cars life. so just wondering if i have to put both back on? i can live without a/c but power steering would be such a convenience. thanks n advance.

oh and a little about my driving history. my first car was a 2000 ranger 5spd drove it from 06- late 10/early11
parked it at 212k miles been driving my gf's 06 powder blue prius till now. :D

can i get ths moved somewhere more appropriate by a mod, has anyone ever re-installed power steering to a civic? or just deleted a/c? google shopping didnt have any real results for an a/c delete kit for my '97 will one of the other ones work?

not 100% sure about the gen civic you had so im gonna say 70/30 that your car being a dx never had ps i know 5th gen dxs didnt come with it but not all the familar with the 6th gen ones... and as for installing ac that depends on how far they went to delete it if the just removed the compresor and line then you will just need a compressor and lines then get the system recharged but like i said just depends if they removed everything or not...

DX: Available as a hatchback, coupe, or sedan. It included all standard equipment from CX plus tilt steering and am/fm radio. Power steering was standard on all sedans, and on the coupes when ordered with automatic transmission. In 1997, the DX added 14-inch wheels as standard equipment.[2] (Via Wikpedia) so im assuming my car didnt have p/s.. thanks again
