Hey guys, I just got new seats, the one's from jdmcarboy, and I was planning on using my stock seat belts. I wasn't going to be in a hurry to get harnesses only becuase in magazines and stuff I've seen guys with aftermarket seats and stock seat belts. My problem is the aftermarket seats don't have the bracket for the female end of the seat belt on the side of the seat, and the stock female end isn't long enough to reach the seat brackets on the bottom. Has anyone else used stock belts with aftermarket seats? What am I doing wrong? I am going to get harnesses at some point but for now I was planning on using the stock belts.

Well what i would say is, theres no spot on the bracket that you can try to bolt the female end too. And it doesnt reach to the back bolt on the floor. The one bolting your seat down.???

Yeah that female end is just the little stubby buckle. It wont reach anything. On the stock seats it bolts right to the side of the seat on a bracket, but the aftermarket seats don't have a bracket on the side.

anyone got some pics of how the stock belts connect on aftermerkets? im actually a paycheck from odering some myself and i plan to use the stock belt, just out of poorness. but that problem didnt cross my mind, i still rather have the stock ones, but if its not safe or if more troublesome then ill wait longer and get some harness as well, im pretty sure theyere costly (<-- thats just an assumption, i never researched em since i didnt want em). any info or better yet it would help out a lot thx peeps

aight here is what you do... You are going to have to find a set of brackets on ebay (preferebly weapon r) that fit your car.. they will have the mount for the "clicker" or the female end. That is what i have and let me know if you need pics becuase im working on my car all day

When I got my seats, it didn't come with brackets so I had to make my own. When I used the stock seat belts I made a little L shaped piece that came up on the side on the seat. I used alot of the stock hardware for everything. John
