I hope someone has done this same thing and can help me out.
I just replaced my Temperature gauge in my 88 Civic Wagovan, (1.5 Manual 5 speed ) bacause my original one stopped working. I put the new one in what was the coin holder. It looks good and works, and all is fine. But, I am trying to hook up the bulb to light it up at night and I don't know which wire to connect with, to allow me to dim it along with the other dash lights. Can someone post me a picture or a real good description where to find the correct wire to tie into. I have looked at the manual but I still can't figure it out.

Their are a bunch of wires going into the dash gauges. Are you saying that you can attach to any one of them to catch your power for the illumination bulb. Or do you have a particular color wire to cut into.

Use a volt meter to find out what wire gets power when the dash lights are on. It's not that hard. To be honest, if you are even looking into doing this or any kind of work like this, you should already have and know how to use one.
