New to cars help me out!

Alright well first off I wanna start by saying I know some basics about motors and honda's and all that but I know almost absolutely nothing on the street scene and what's good or bad or how to install things or what is considered a "riced" car. I want help first of all on what car I should start out with.

I'm thinking of either a 1995 honda civic ex (costs less money) or an integra LS (though I kind of want a car with v-tec without having to screw around with it). Pretty much I just want a civic or integra. I'm looking to buy a car for about 2,500 bucks or lower. Money for me is pretty low so after I'm done choosing my car I want to know what mods should I start putting on my car. I need an organized list of what I should put in order from first to last and I also need to know what's reliable and cheap but also a decently good product (like a cold air intake for example or a set of lowering springs that are cheap but still good). I also need the price of the things listed. If anyone could help me out with all of this and post all the things I need it would be a great amount of help. Thanks.

F&F coilovers, about $700

that helps a bit thank you now I can get a better understanding of what I should aim for but what about a car? What type of integra or honda should I aim for with only 2,500 dollars? I like the 93-95 ex styles they look nice all souped up, but the LS/GSR engines prove to to be faster stock, although people tell me I could buy a civic then swap it with an LS motor but how much would that cost for the engine and considering I wouldn't be able to install it myself?

Swap and everything will run you another 2k probobly, so i say find a nice civic thats already swapped, you can find them in your price range, but you gotta make sure they havent had the s**t beat out of them. If it smokes or leaks stay away. Also stay away from anything youve seen in a fast and furious movie (17's, body kit, crazy paint, huge wings, chrome lights)

search on craigslist man youll find alot of swapped civic's there even if they not swapped you could get a clean 1
integras you could find 2 doubt GSR's for that price but you never noe

as far as being on a budget if you want to do it right SAVE MONEY. people think just because they dont make alot of money they have to buy cheap s**t. if you just have some self control and wait till you have the money saved you will be alot happier in the long run. gl with buying your car have SELF CONTROL and you could find a clean car for 2500 bucks i garuntee it

First off, a car in that price range is gonna be a piece of s**t. You'll be spending more money to maintain/catch up on maintenance. Secondly, who's car is this? Yours or ClubCivic.com's? By the looks of it, you're only in the scene to gain some sort of acceptance.

You should also thinking about using the search feature on here. There are plenty of vendors on here who are selling parts for cheap, you can even use Google to search for parts. Ebay has good stuff occasionally. People selling their parts let them go for cheap too.

Not denying that people on here would know more than the street folk. But, to me, he is asking us to build his car for him to meet our stupid high standards. If he really wants a ClubCivic car, so be it. I'll be the first to say how shitty it is. I'll also be the first to give him respect if he went against the common trend on here and did his own thing, went with his own look, didn't care what people thought about his car and knew that to him, he loved it and it looked good.

^^ i understand what ur saying, but at least give him a chanc to do his thing lol. And we hold high standards, but alot of us are broke at the same time. So we could relate to where hes at, i say welcome to the site, do ur thing, and ask if need be. Listen 2500 around here in the NY area is gd enough for a plain clean civic and 3000 will get you civic with a swap b16 b18 LS swap yeah just come to NY to buy your car lol look just do how you would buy any other car look for vtec civic EX or Si and if its swap out with something or even if its stock get it check out and can get papers for the swap if it is swap with something do it to me it DO NOT matter if its a civic or integra now integra are faster stock but its all on what you like and want and 1 more thing make sure its a 5spd you won't regret it lol
