I have a 98 civic Ek with a d16y7 any quick mods that won't take days of my car being off the road to do?

I/H/E...
What r you looking for? Just motor mods or suspension and braking? More info needed to help you.

I would switch that y7 head for a y8 then go with intake mani. Header and exhaust. Then start building a swap in your garage!!

well I read a little on the head swap. it has compressed springs nice exhaust and I just put a short throw in it. I was thinking camber kit maybe? and cold air intake. are their real cold air intakes for this car or just universal ones

Camber kit AFTER you change the shocks/struts out for coilovers. Get coilovers throw on the camber kit then a quick allignment. You can do it in a day.

Lower it on coil overs or new shocks and springs. Beside that I would not worry about anything like intake header or exhaust. I you could do the y8 intake manifold swap.

Work on suspension then start building a swap. The d16 is gutless that's why I'm building one.

Bolts right in. Google is your friend and take a few days off in a weekend. A extra pair of hands is a plus.

Depends on the swap you want
if your taking b series some are cheaper than others but you are still going to need more than that
also depends on where you buy the motor if its certifed from a site or uncertain from some guy on cl
search and read up on b16 swap, ls swap, gsr swap, b20 amd there are some more combinations

Just got your car?

Give it an oil change, replace all the filters, check the tires + air in them, change the transmission fluid, replace the wipers, top off the brake fluid and make sure the car can stop...then worry about intakes and exhausts etc.

lol I know all that. that's with any car. I leanred that the hard way. bought a cavalier off a used car lot drove it a week and rod knock came. they gave it to me with no oil. and for the swaps which is the best for a decent price. I'm not looking to drop ten stacks. but I am willing to start building a swap
