hey there guys. I have had a 1997 Honda Civic EX for about three years now and i am just starting to want to fix all the lil problems on it so i figured this might be the best place for help and tips. I am starting by trying to fix my cruise control. When the cruise control button on the left side of the dash is pressed the indicator light turns on so i believe that the electronics are working but the steering wheel buttons to set and resume seem to do nothing at all. Once or twice while trying it on the road the dash cruise control light has turned on but still i am not cruising lol any ideas?

Welcome to the site. I would first check all your fuses make sure they are good. Check your stoppers above your pedals, one over cluctch if its a manual and one over the brake, If they are good check your pedal switches. Do you have other lights on like SRS or any codes?

what kind of problems are you having besides the
cruise control maybe i can help but it maybe that its not
conected maybe the wiring ?

Thanks Emerican. @Gunner, i dont know what these stoppers are but ill start looking into it. Also the SRS light was on but i recently replaced the gauge cluster because my speedo failed and the SRS light went away, and yes the bulb works lol ill check all the fuses and "stoppers" and get back to ya

I asked about the SRS light cause an electrical problem with that circuit could also cause the problem, i would have to check what years but some of them tie together..i think i saw a post before with the diagram in it.
