new to honda have some maintenance questions

I bought tonight a 04 value package civic. So far i really like it. My questions are what oil do you recommend? The car had mobil 1n5w30nits whole life up to this point also what kind of fluid does the auto transaxle take? And lastly what spark plugs you guys like? I also own a 98 saturn sl2 they are picky with everything I just mentioned. I want the best for my civic so all input is appreciated even if its not directly related. For oil i like mobil 1, but thats just all preference, these motors dont absolutely need synthetic oil. As for spark plugs, ngk is the way to go for sure.

Do you guys think 5w30 is ok? 5w20 kinda makes me cringe. Also I bought ngk platinums getting my bumper cover straightened out tomorrow has a dent and some scratches.

I think 5w-30 is recommended

Lol. There isn't much of a difference between 5w30 and 5w20. I usually run what ever I can get my hands on at work. Sometimes 5w30 other times 0w40. Full synthetic. I personally wouldn't run anything less.

Do they really only take 3.5 quarts?
