New to site but not new to tuning

Hey people got a question. I've been a accord guy for the longest now I"m ready to be serious about this life of tuning. I have a change to buy either a 1997 ex with 170K on it or a 1996 Dx with 128K. I've always had a ex Honda b/c the sun roof and VTEC but on this buy I'm stuck. Dont know if I wanna go for the bone stock DX or the fully loaded EX with more miles. What is the better platform for tuning? or I should say whats the better starting point? I did plan for a B20 swap later on fyi.
PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE

if you plan on swaping, get the ex

i would say get the ex if you like the sunroof i always have a car with one.

and when the higher miles motor goes you can swap also I'm guessing it costs less??

also consider how much body work it'll need

UPDATE...Well I went with the DX.The body was in better shape. It had the higher mileage but I want to do a B20 swap this winter/spring coming up. AND the car was already black. Pic's to come soon
