hi all i want to say first off im not much of a Honda guy so please don't flame me LOL. second, i do like a few Honda's though, and I own a 97 civic ex coupe that was given to me by my stepdad. he had to let it develop some problems due to some economic problems, but i have been bringing her back to life. so far it runs fine now but it still has some slight problems. it is an automatic transmission and i wanted to convert it to a manual transmission,so i wanted to learn more on how to do it. i have been doing all the work on her myself and i feel confident doing the conversion myself. i will be getting an other car so i will have the civic to work on with out being "carless".:D

im getting an FC S5 TII. possibly a S4 TII if the S5 is just impossible to find. i know the S5 TII is harder to find but its worth the look ill say LOL. so far i have 2kUSD im trying to save at the very least 3k but around 5k would be my optimum goal.

welcome! YAY more rotor hedz! go with an s4, grab up some s5 tail lights and other trimmings and call it a day! the s4 turbo engine was a little less powerfull from the factory than the s5 but its a little more forgiving by my understanding. nough bout that, you're going to have a lot of fun with your honda!

So long as you're proficient with working on cars, auto to manual isn't terrible. Just get all of the necessary parts, and take your time! Hondas are very simple cars to work on. If you do need help, just browse the forums.
