new to the game and LOST!

i have recently came up on an eg hatch, and know nothing about it. im experiencing problems with the fallowig....when im coming to a complete stop, and i apply the clutch, my idle comes down to extremely low and sometimes the whip trns off in the process. how can i go about finding out and fixing this??? HELP!!!

Is this happening all the time or when the a/c is on?

it doesnt have ac. and it usually happens when ive been driving for a little while???
