I bought a 97 civic DX. Car had a auto-trans first, then they replaced it with a manual-trans. This all happened before I purchased. Well I notice now when It gets warm, the RPM's wont go over 4000. I was told this my be limp mode. If anyone whats to help I can us it. Then only things is I cant try anything yet becasue Im currently deployed so just ideas for now.

Is the CEL on? If it is that is your first thing to take care of, get the codes pulled and look into whatever they are. Second, when was the last time the car had a tune-up? If you don't know its always better to be safe and replace your spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, and fuel filter. I used to have a 74 Z that would bog down and run like crap. After replacing most of the electronics we discovered it was the fuel filter...
Who else has got some ideas for the man?
