hey everyone, I am new to the site. I currently have a 99 civic ex with the stock d16 motor. I really would like to upgrade to a b18 but I am not sure how much I should spend on the swap. Also, for mounting the b series motor, is there mounts that are bolt on or is there welding required? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Before you get flamed by someone with less patience than me, search. Google is your friend, and that's the nicest way I can say it.
Good luck.

welcome to the sight. you can also use the search functions w/in the sight. if you are new to hondas this sight will be very helpful. just remember to do your own serch before asking quesions. There are ppl on here that will flame hard on you for asking a questions that's been asked a million times before. look into hassport motor mounts.

Welcome aboard. And yes, there are quite a few FLAMERS on here that lack tact & understanding. Get familiarized with the search functions. Theyre not great, but google helps too.

Anytime man =) I don't generally flame on people unless they really need it lol I was a noob once too, as we all were, and I try to remember what it was like for a complete stranger to "tell me what time it is" and I didn't like it.

I'm more than happy to help whenever I can, as most of us are, welcome to the site, enjoy your stay =)

My suggestion for doing a swap, buy the whole car you want to swap from. Then you have everything you need! For example, I found a guy selling a B18B1 a few miles from my house and wanted $1950 for it. Then a few posts down on craigs, I found a 94 integra with a blown headgasket for $800. Complete car! (Though stripped of interior) ... You do the math. Of course if you don't have the tools, space, or know how this may not work for you. But if you're trying to save money and learn about Honda/Acura's, this is the way to go. Blown headgaskets = dumb people selling cars for CRAZY CHEAP! (That's how i've been able to buy/mod my current Civic with out spending a single dime from my own paycheck)
