ok guys i got a great deal on a turbo set up i can't pass it up 200 bucks everything but the manifold it is from a 93 gsx eclipse the kid did an upgrade and he had the stuff just sitting in his room. the turbo has 15k on it because it was rebuilt now my question to everyone is what do i need to make this work my block is freshly rebuilt new rings pistons and rods and new bearing the engine is a b16 stock compression not looking to run massive boost anywhere from 6 to 8 psi of boost until i can build a gsr block the turbo is the t25. so besides a manifold and tap the oil lines what else do i need? turbo timer? boost gauge? i have a 255 fuel pump already got some 310 injectors the set up is coming with the turbo piping intercooler downpipe bov and internal wastegate. looking for any advise and any help (i know i sound like a noob got to learn somehow)
thanks guys

I'm a noob to the turbo game myself, I got a custom dsm kit myself. You don't need the turbo timer but it will help alot unless you want to sit in your car for a few minutes and let it idle before you shut it off. You need a boost controller to see how much lbs your running. You will also need to tap your oil pan to to run a return line. What are you going to do about fuel management? Everyone on here will tell you to go hondata, uberdata, neptune etc... I personally use a apex safc2, it works fine and I've had no problems yet. I say your injectors are fine, I'm using toyota 310c myself and belive it or not they are too big for my 8lbs. I have all my safc2 settings down to the max. Just make sure what ever you decide to use get your whip tuned properly. I'll tell you this, once you get your s**t together and feel that pull you're going to fall in love.

so the timer leaves the oil pump running for a few mins so it doesn't lock up? i know my boy with his grand national just let the car sit for about 30 seconds to about a min depending on how he is driving and then he turns it off and the grand nat has 60k on that turbo with no problems

i am learning uberdata and crome i have a chip burner and i also have a wideband so i can tune it myself but alli have to look for is so that it doesn't run lean or rich correct?

310's will be fine for low hp.. approx 270 tops.

Theres a ton of info on this site about what you need to do for turbo.. so search and you'll get all your questions answered.

well if you're going to boost don't be afraid to blow your motor up. Along wit boosting a non turboed vehicle comes alot of headaches. If you're worried about hurting your motor don't boost it or spray it as a matter of fact don't even push it hard. I'm going to try to hit 12's on the 1/4 with my turbo d with stock internals @ 12lbs, torco and slicks. Either later this year or next year. I'll either hit the 12 or blow the f**ker up. I know my engine only cost around $400 so I can afford to buy another and another... untill my zC gets built.

yeah but your running a d series i am running a b series i spent alot of time and money getting this motor built to run it was all messed up when i got it i do push it hard now and i have gone from 16's to now the 14.89 and i am very happy with that but i also am looking to get into the low 13's /high 12's that is why i am planning on running boost all i really want to do is get to 250 HP that is my goal and that has been my goal since i started this civic swap/boost

so your b16 is built up? If you're hitting a 14.8 n/a that's very good. Was that on slicks or on streets?
