New Type-R grille....

Got my Type-R grill in today. Bought it off of Chippy here on CC. The mesh was missing (I knew that before I got it), so I just threw in some 'gutter-guard' that I painted black for now. It looks kind of ricey b/c the mesh is really thin. Im gonna keep an eye out for a actual mesh that looks better (if anyone has one, lemme know, or if anyone KNOWS where I can get JUST the mesh...please let me know). Im gonna take some pics tomorrow in the daylight, so I think it'll look alot better then. Black isnt a good color to take pics of at night. (Yes, I know my cars dirty. Its WAY to cold to wash it right now, so bear with me...the windchill is like -10 or so....) Im gonna get it color matched to the car in the spring sometime. Next thing comming is a Spoon style front lip! w00t!

looks good just paint that s.o.b. i bought the mesh for my grille at lowes it was like barbecue mesh stuff and i painted it black with rust oleum and it came out great

Haha. The cupholders are going in once I get a new headunit. My current one is f**ked...the volume knob dosent work, and the amp's blown in it.

I was looking at the expanded sheetmetal mesh, but they wanted $12 for a 12" x 14" sheet! f**k that....so I just got some cheap ass gutter guard which is too thin/flexable. What exactly did you get for a mesh? Remember how much it was, and the exact 'name' of it?

yo, hit up your local aubuchaun (sp?) hardware store and get some plastic gutter gaurd..it comes in 25' rolls, but $5-$6, thats what im using for mine and it looks great IMO. its already black so you dont have to paint it and you dont have to worry about it rusting or anything like that.

Looks great BTW...cant wait to see it colormatched..!

Once it gets warmer out, Ill get some more paint, and get it all color matched up. I have nowhere to paint inside right now, so I have to wait till it gets warmer out, so I can do it outside. Im a DIY'er.

yeah it was the expanded sheet metal. tore the hell out of my hands cutting it up to fit right but once i got it cut and painted it was worth it. it was cheaper here i think they sold it smaller and it was like half as much money as that.
