New updated pix 56k safe DIY CTR grill

yeah my mother left today for 3 days so i jumped into the garage and began doing some of the things i wanted to do.

here;s my car presently.

i removed some of the ac components cause they didn;t work and well, i was never going to fix them. i let the pressure let out throught the lines but got a facefulll of crap when romoving the lines from the compressor.

i put that fan back in even though i dont think it works. but i figured i might as well.

now i can get that header i want and not have to worry about the ac crap.

my right headlight wqas all fogged up so i took it off tipped up on its end and then stared at the puddle in the corner. it has about 1/3 cup of water in it. i was thinking about doing the diy ctr grill so i took that off too.

and this is a pix of my tool box

updated, more pix.

went to walmart and bought some silicone sealant for 3 bucks, better trying to fix it than buying a new set of headlights.

got my grill all apart, but not sure how i want to do it.

took out all of the ac stuf from here forward

here;s some metal ac lines and my washer container (it didn;t work so its not like i am losing anything)

my car is naked right now. i am just going to put on my hood and hook up turn signal bulbs (just the bulbs no headlight, i need to replace them anyways)

well i am done with the back part of the grill, tomarrow or rather later today i wil go and get some mesh. i didn;t have a dremel so it took me a lot longer. i cut off what i could with some tin snips then i used a hack sawfor the top and bottom of the "H" logo. finally i used a combination of those things to get all of the little nubby things off of it. i did it so that i kept all of the original bolt holes so i won;t have to zip tie anything.

also i was thining, "wouldn;t it be cool to have a belt buckle like from the Honda Ridgeline commercial, so i save my emblem and now i am trying to figure out how to turn it into a belt.

I love the way flat black looks.. I know a lot of people dont.. But I think its hawt... Satin would be my next pick. Either way I am sure it will look great.

flat and matte black are awesome. hard are hell to keep clean though.

yeah i had flat black and i just went out and bought some saitn with rust protectant so maybe i'll spray down a couple of coats of the sating then finish with the flat black, i'll see how the satin looks and then decide..

Sounds like a good idea... I have had two black cars and I dont think it matter really what finish black you use its still going to be a pain to keep clean..
