Sorry, if you were lookin for a honda swap. The '53 went from a straight six 216 to a nice 350. This baby will plant you to your seat. 8) It's actually pretty difficult to keep from roastin the tires. Saturday was the first day of gettin it out and driving it more than around the block to test it out. I drove her all day.... couldn't even count the amount oif thumbs up I got drivin around. Even gathered a small crowd when I went to harbor freight.

some traction bars for the rear. Need to brace our welding on the rear end a lil more with those bars. Edelbrock Gear drive, 4 barrel carb and new intake. Then, who knows... It's running really well so focus will probably be shifted to my 50 ford and my dads 56 chevy pickup.

Yeah, the 305 had fitment issues with the steering arm... I don't even remember what the other engine was we thinking of getting, the deal fell thru so not much thought was put in that direction. A '72 impala popped up when some old lady died. 60k original miles and purrs like a kitten. Was kinda depressing to take the ole car to the crusher it had so much good chrome still left on it.

I think if you're ever around them for a good amount of time you'd probably be hooked. There's nothin like it. None of em can corner for s**t but, you'd better hold on in a straight line. 8)

Thanks bro. I have all the hotrod guys that know me say the civic is a good smoke screen, makes people think I don't know what I'm talking about. Yet, the civic guys see my old cars and don't think I know what I'm talking about when it comes to civics. You'd be surprised how many old hotrodders I've got to take a lil more interest in my civic just cuz they know of my main interests... the hotrods. 8)

yeah, it was allrite but, with that tranny you could only get up to about 45 or 50 miles per hour and forget trying to keep up with rush hour traffic. We were kinda discouraged about driving it when it was that way. There's no problems keeping up with traffic now... or that transam that revved at me.
