NewtoCC... fifth v. sixth gen hatch??

I currently own a '92 Civic EX, (4-door). It is at 380,000km and literally driving into the ground. The car has served me well, and I have so fallen in love with Civics on the whole.
I am now looking for the next Civic to be its replacement, and am almost ready to buy something, (I will be buying sometime in the middle of July).
My choice is to go with a Civic Hatchback... but I don't know whether I should go with a fifth, or sixth generation.
I love the look of the fifth, but can't dispute that some of the sixth gen's cars can look pretty good too!!

I would love some help, guidance, advice please!

There hasnt been more input because this topic has been discussed numerous times and people get tired of repeating themselves--even if it is in text...

Go with whatever one you can find that isn't already falling apart. It'll be tough with either chassis unless you spend a pretty penny

In my opinion 6th gen > 5th gen but it depends on what's available.

^ agree with both above id perfer 6th gen, but hatches that are reasonably priced and arent someones hacked up project are hard to come by.

So I have bought a 1998 Civic Si Coupe. $2850 including taxes. It is silver, and pretty much stock... other than Clifford(?) alarm, front bug deflector, door-window bug deflectors, film-style tinting on the three rear windows, rims, and tires. It has 195,000km on the speedo, and the body is free of rust. It isn't perfect... but is perfect for us!
I have to find an insurer this week, and will complete the sale next weekend.

I can't figure out how to get the photos I have on here... will work on doing this.

Are Haines manuals the best way to go for this? Or is there a better manual??

Thanks for the help with photobucket... :D

I spent a week shaking it down and put another 1,000km on it. I added a can of Seafoam to the fuel tank and filled it up with the top grade Shell fuel during this time. I ran until the fuel light came on and, with a Jerry-can in the trunk, ran it completely out of fuel. Then filled up with the middle grade Shell fuel.
The odometer is now at 196,523.
Today I split a can of Seafoam between the top end, (sucked in through the brake booster vacuum line), and the crank case. Oh man that was fun putting on the smoke show down the freeway!!
I then changed the oil to Castrol's full synthetic, a Fram oil filter, and a Fram air filter for good measure.
The Civic is just purring away... and I can imediately feel the differences.
