Hey guys,

First run on the nitrous on 50 Shot. Didnt realize bottle was at 500 on pressure. Went to run it and when hit WOT it kinda sputtered and stinks like mother f**ker. Was it cause bottle pressure was to low and cold? Only did it for few seconds checked pressure and realized it went down to 500. Let me know guys asap.

running wet kit. And the shop said that at 50shot should need timing retarded. Havent done compression test it kinda acted like the gas was flowing to much using correct jets. What do you mean post squeeze?

Ran just fine just like it did before could it be cause of 255 Walboro fuel pressure? or the nitrous pressure?

It prolly just got over rich and sputterd

Kinda like priming a lawn mower to much..it kinda floods the engine..same principle id think?

Cause im using .034 Nitrous jet and 0.019 Fuel jet and website calculator if Walboro is doing 48 psi i need .017 Fuel jet really make it that much richer lol?

This was first test run to make sure no leaks or nothing tomorrow am putting purge kit on and then doing bottle heater tomorrow as well. When you are shooting do you want to turn bottle heater off or on?

If your stock, you need a FPR. you should be at roughly 28 psi unless your boosting and or tuned.

Bottle warmer should help out to keep you in the 900-1100psi range.

Alright guys back to basic i guess. I found the problem jets backwards damn it. And i fixed it and put them in correctly this time. FPR is now installed and from what i understand i set it at about 46-47psi I check it but pinching the FPR Vacuum line and read the gauge on top of fuel filter? I went to run it and it ran fine first gear and second. Went to shift to third and loud BANG. Lovely detonation. No harm done as i can see... Little rough idle. Running a p28 on this. Any advice what to check now to see if any damage was done? Also why it would have detonated? I just put in some NGK V Power 1 step colder than stock. But the gap is 0.044 What should the gap be set to for the nitrous?

Well still no answers well i tried it again. No more backfires for almost an hour of running and trying it out. Someone please explain to me this BLOX FPR this thing seems like it is not working right i clamp vacuum hose and check reading with gauge and it seems like it stays there but it seems like i have hardly any power i turn it up to like 50-55 on FPR reading and i get power like i should? What is the problem here anyone know? The nitrous ran great.... Only problem is seems like at like 5-5.5k rpms it doesnt want to get me much power at all. 3rd is like no power from it hardly. Any suggestions on this?

Like I said before , If your engine is stock, and your air fuel ratio is stock and your running a stock ECU, your fuel pressure should be 28-30 lbs... sounds like you have everything rich as hell and throwing N2O on top of it.

28-30lb or PSI? Because service manual is stated that that 97 D16y8 is rated at 38-46 PSI. I can not get blox to go below 40 anyways. Also i am running P28 ECU. My air fuel fluctuates sometimes under pressing on gas and what not have found that it goes anywhere from 19 down to 12.
